Sheffield Wharf House Up for Sale

Built in the 19th century, the Sheffield Canal Basin was in fact a station and cargo port for the Sheffield Canal. However, by 1970, the canal stopped functioning as a port and it gradually became a neglected site. The place was slowly brought back to life by 1992 after some repairs and came to be known as Victoria Quays.

With the repairs that were made to the place, the Terminal Wharf House also underwent redevelopment. It provided a place for business establishments and leisure, and also served as a dock for sailboats and other canal boats. The vaulted ceilings and the sash windows were a constant reminder of the place’s Georgian cultural influences, but the 3,500 square feet site was made modern later.

Knight Frank is named as the listing agent for the Wharf House, which is now available for purchase. The building is well connected to the motorway and the Supertram and is very close to the city centre as well, according to the firm. Situated far from the road, the building offers a breathtaking view of the countryside from its premises.

The aim of the Sheffield City Centre Master Plan right now is to convert the waterside area into a recreation spot by constructing a covering for the city centre walkway, which connects Fargate and the Quays. The Quays has already become home to a Hilton Hotel and a Livingwell Gym in addition to some restaurants and hospitals.

There are single person offices with desk space to rent as well as bigger offices offered by the Wharf House, and the areas are decorated with beautiful carpets and there is a kitchen too. There is also a paved parking lot for occupants.
